My First Reconciliation
My first reconciliation would be described as confused and nervous. I was in the first grade when I first received this sacrament and I had little knowledge on what a sin even is. I remember my class going to our parish where we met with a few priests that were going to lead us through the sacrament. I remember being nervous while waiting for my turn because I wasn't sure on what I was suppose to say. I was also confused because at the time I was still young to understand the sins I needed to confess. When it was my turn, my nervousness went away as the priest helped me throughout the whole thing, and I was able to receive reconciliation successfully.
My Parish
My parish is open for anyone who wishes to receive reconciliation at any time of any day.
Examination of Conscience
An examination of conscience is a spiritual exercise in which a person thinks about the actions they've made and determines for themselves whether or not they've committed sins and in what way. A person can refer to the ten commandments as a guide to recognize what wrongs they have done. Once they do this, they'll know what they need to confess during confession.
